USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service
Project Length: 2002 - Present
Client: USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) was originally established by Congress in 1935 as the Soil Conservation Service (SCS). NRCS has expanded to become a conservation leader for all natural resources, ensuring private lands are conserved, restored, and more resilient to environmental challenges, like climate change. Seventy percent of the land in the United States is privately owned, making stewardship by private landowners absolutely critical to the health of our Nation’s environment. NRCS works with landowners through conservation planning and assistance designed to benefit the soil, water, air, plants, and animals that result in productive lands and healthy ecosystems.
Since 2002, NRCS has entrusted Interstate Relocation Services, which is ranked in the top tier of GSA providers, with their relocation needs. As a proven contractor for NRCS, Interstate administers a full suite of services through a single source contact. This point person expertly resolves any issues that may arise during the moving process, and provides support in establishing move dates and arranging on-site pre-move surveys, packing, loading and delivery of household goods, while ensuring services adhere to agency budget requirements.
Indian Health Services: Federal Government Agency
Project Length: 2009 - Present
Client: Indian Health Services (IHS) arranges healthcare and non-medical support programs to Native American Indians and Eskimos. Programs include the preservation of environmental health, tribal assistance, grants, employment support, and education. IHS works in large regions within the West, Midwest, and Southwest.
IHS utilizes Interstate Relocation Services’ move management and home sale services. Move management includes pre-move preparation, assistance in unique handling, pickup and delivery of household goods, and a primary point of contact. Home sale services offer employees a guaranteed purchase or buyer value option program that provides counseling, inspections, appraisals and market analysis of the departure home. Interstate manages the entire home sale process through closing.
Interstate excels at agent evaluation and carrier distribution, taking pride in its selection of transportation carriers. Interstate selects service providers for IHS based on carrier monitored performance, captured scores and an overall ranking of carrier partners.
USDA Agricultural Research Service
Project Length: 2002 - Present
Client: USDA Agricultural Research Service conducts research to develop and transfer solutions to agricultural problems of high national priority, assess the nutritional needs of Americans and provide economic opportunities for rural citizens, communities, and society as a whole. Through their science partnerships with businesses and other federal agencies, ARS is able to move research discoveries to the marketplace, sustain a competitive agricultural economy and preserve and enhance the environment. ARS is the principal in-house research agency of the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA).
Interstate Relocation Services has worked with ARS since 2002, providing expert domestic and international transportation management services. Interstate’s team is highly trained and well versed on all governing transportation bylaws (FTR, HTOS, and RFO) issued by the General Services Administration (GSA). Through our partnership with ARS, Interstate offers the financial strength, stability, and security of a seventy-year-old, privately held company, combined with the agility and personalized service of a smaller organization. Interstate takes pride in looking beyond standard solutions to provide consistent entitlement interpretation and administration, superior supplier management systems, and tighter cost control.
