Interstate Worldwide Relocation Services named in Washington D.C.'s Top 100 Private Company

SPRINGFIELD, VA— Interstate Worldwide Relocation Services is pleased to announce its inclusion in the Washington Business Journal’s list of the Top 100 largest Private Companies in the DC area, based on their 2009 revenues. Providing services in relocation management, transportation, and logistics management, Interstate employs over 255 employees at their Springfield, VA; Ashburn, VA; and Landover, MD locations. Interstate is the only company with its industry sector to make this prestigious list.

The Top 100 Companies collectively brought in $65.5 billion dollars in revenue last year to the greater Washington metro area with the greatest revenue coming from the manufacturing industry at $28 billion, followed by $14.3 billion in real estate, $6 billion in legal and $4.7 billion in information technology. Sixty eight percent of the top private companies are headquartered in Virginia.
